A guy i met at a party last week suggested a novel way of making some money.... become a vicar.
For $30 he had become ordained by the Church Of The Subgenius. they sent him a lovely certificate which he then used to register himself at City Hall. He is now legally allowed to perform marriages!!! He said it was as simple as it sounds and will shortly be performing his best friends wedding.
This sounds like a lot of fun. Amy and I were wondering if we could marry ourselves - we'll have to look into it.
I'm thinking of buying the url fancydressvicar.com and offering a pretty unique service to all those couples in NYC that want something a little different.
